Upon collecting the rough from inside the growth chamber, each crystal is carefully inspected, then cut into a preform—a rough shape that will later be transformed into a faceted gem.   

 To meet our rigorous quality standards, Chatham cuts away about 80% of the rough crystal to ensure that all our gemstones have maximum brilliance, high clarity, and rich color. 

Next, Chatham designs a collection of fine jewelry featuring our colorful spectrum of laboratory-grown gemstones and diamonds. Hand drawn sketches set the foundation of new design concepts and inspiration. Sketches are then transposed into CAD where designs are finessed, with great attention to detail and proportion. Chatham’s elegant designs are a harmonious blend of classic and contemporary with a distinctive flair.
