Chatham has successfully captured the captivating color of the highly desirable Paraíba tourmaline, through an advanced method that replicates the mined formation conditions of spinel. 

 

Tourmaline's crystal structure is complex and unsuitable to grow in a laboratory. Spinel, on the other hand, has a simpler crystal structure and offers many color possibilities. Chatham lab-grown Paraiba colored spinel is a more affordable alternative to the vibrant and rare tourmaline,  with its striking blue-green color reminiscent of tropical waters.

The standard clarity grade at Chatham is Gem Quality. That means the gems are free of any eye-visible inclusions.
